A couple of the books that I'm currently reading are "Do Hard Things" by the Harris twins. It's quite entertaining and insightful about today's teens. One of the other books I'm ready is "The Disconnected Generation" by Josh McDowell. It's very good about helping you understand some of the thought processes that teens have. I would recommend them both for you and your husband to read. Then for your teens to read.

I just finished reading "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins. Interesting futuristic perspective about the coming of age struggles.

Our ladies book club is reading Passionate Housewives Desperate for God. We have only met once and read the first 2 chapters but I think it is going to be a very good book. If anyone would like to join us, we meet once a month on 1st Friday at my home. We will meet in May to discuss Chapters 3 & 4.

I hope you don't mind me "advertising" the book club. We had such a good discussion that I couldn't help it.

I'm reading a fantastic non-fiction called Against an Infinite Horizon by Ron Rolheiser. It's all about how we yearn for the infinte while in our finite bodies and how we can journey inward to find God and reconcile ourselves to waiting for the infinite in the hereafter. I can't recommend it enough. He is so insightful.

I'm also reading book 3 in the Beekeeper's Apprentice series, also excellent. Semi-retired Sherlock Holmes meets his intellectual equal in a young woman. She becomes his apprentice and they solve cases together. Very fun but also thought provoking (sort of like the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency - also terrific).

Can't wait to read The Hunger Games and Joseph Campbell's The Hero With A Thousand Faces.

Happy reading, Ladies.
